Did some major editing of the forums today, including dropping the member count from ~190 to ~120, will drop it further tomarrow hopefully. Also deleted a few forums that weren't being used. Mainly non-tk forums that weren't being used. Also re-ordered the forum list, and mass-pruned the topics older than 30 days. All old topics were not deleted, but moved to the Archive forums at the bottom of the forum list. I also made the Submissions forum into a link that takes you to the submissions page on the site, since submissions are handled globally, and no longer through the forums.

NOTE: If your username was deleted, and your still active, I'm very sorry. I'm pretty sure I did a careful enough job not to delete anyone that has posted or registered in the last couple months, but mistakes happen. Unfortunately your user information can not be recovered, but since post counts have been disabled, there shouldn't be a problem. Simply re-register your user name. There are user-names that have been saved to prevent impersonation (ie MrG) that will not be deleted for obvious reasons.

\"So lately, I\'ve been wondering...

Help Section

Since lately we've been getting general articles/tutorials and not many RPG Code specific ones, the RPG Code help section is now a general help section and contains articles from all categories (and is now linked to via the main sidebar on the left of the site).

Really. Yeah I got a question. Can you make your site on Power Point and then put it on your MS hosted site? If so, I'll re apply for a site!

Both files made in PowerPoint and in FrontPage can be used to make a website, however, FrontPage is far better at it. Both of them save as HTML.

Power Point? Hmm, never tried it... I actually can't imagine how a site transfered from such thing would look.

I've messed with it, but never actually tested anything. All it would look like was any other normal webpage, with background colors/images and text. You couldn't do the animations and stuff. That only works for .ppt files, not .html. My first website was created using Microsoft Word, and I don't mean hard coding it in HTML, I mean typing out text, changing it's color, etc, as if it was a word file; then saved it as a web page. It was horrible looking, and each file was like 35kb in size because of all the crap MS Word added to it.

Heh, I've also done my first site in word. It seemed pretty easy, but in fact site sucked. Then I "purified" the code a bit to rid of all word elements once I got some idea about HTML in notepad.

Updated the Submission page so that the guidelines are at the top, and added a warning about submitting resources that are essentially useless to anyone (ie tilesets with only a handful of tiles, poorly drawn tiles, and horribly disorganized sets). Also emphasized the fact that people should be zipping tilesets and various other resources.

Submissions

Now you folks don't have to bother to read the guidelines about zipping files, etc. since the site will spit files it doesn't like right back at you (heh...)
