Hehe, yeah...takes some getting used to. You'll pick up your own methods to moving safely and whatnot.

Best is when night decends, you're all in the jungle and everyone has night vision...sometimes the only thing you see if the flare of a gun killing you at that instant.

Also means snipers like me are forced to go in for the kill as opposed to stalk opponents.

Yay.

Yeah, I play sniper quite a bit as well. Depends on the map really, but I don't think there will be a lot of urban combat in Cambodia....heh

In Black Hawk down, mostly what I did was annoy people by running at them with just a knife. I had like 20 something knife kills before.

Indonesia, Spyder, Indonesia Razz

Actually, some of the maps have huge land battles. Especially when teams work together for transport and all that so larg numbers of troops move to the same place.

TDM can get tedious, it seems Advance and Secure always has action especially with the bigger max player limit (150 not, say, 80).

You people must have some awesome computers. My family's unemployed, so I can't get a better computer than the one I already have. And it's not that great.

I have Return to Castle Wolfenstein. I have to run it in 512x384. The pain. It hurts.

My PC sucks too...well this is my moms, almost all pre-made PCs cost more then if you make one. You could probably make a better one then I have for cheaper. My mom spent like 1700 on this PC and it can only run BF on 800x600 decent.

Your entire family is unemployed? That's got to suck. You should get a job so you can make fun of your parents.

My computer isn't too bad. Here's a basic overview..

AMD AthlonXP 1800+ @1.63GHz (XP 2000+)
512MB PC3200 DDR @280MHz (PC2300 ...yes, it's underclocked, heh)
GeForce4 TI 4200 128MB w/VIVO @250/520Mhz
200GB hard drive
120GB hard drive

When MSI finally comes out with a Socket 939 "Mega PC", I will upgrade to a much faster computer. Even with my current "outdated" hardware, I can still play every game available at nearly their highest resolution and detail levels (without anti-aliasing or ansiotropic filtering).

200 GB?!?! That's way past awesome!

Here are the specs for my computer...

Intel Celeron 733mhz
128MB RAM
Nvidia Riva Tnt2 Model 64/Model 64 Pro with 32MB VRAM
10GB Hard Drive
A 52x CD Writer
My 128MB USB flash drive. ^_^

I probably wouldn't be able to get a job because my mom would have to take me there, and she can't really go anywhere because she's got cancer. My dad isn't going to drive all the way from Boone County to Kenton County to drive me to work, and with my stepdad now divorcing from Mom, I'm not gonna take the chances of bringing him near our house. I'm only 15, so I can't drive yet.

Pentium 4 @2.66ghz
512MB RAM
NVIDIA GeForce (128mb)

A huge upgrade over my previous computer of...

Celeron @1ghz
128MB RAM
NVIDIA GeForce (64mb)
20GB hard drive

You don't have public transportation where you live?

Here are the specs of what could be my next computer. Hopefully I can start building it in the next couple months.

MSI MegaPC
AMD Athlon64 3500+
512MB Corsair PC3200 DDR (Dual Channel 2x256)
200-250GB SATA Hard Drive
8x Dual-Layer DVD/RW
ATI X800 video card. Not sure which model or how much VRAM yet, depends on how much it costs, and how much $ I have. I would get a GeForce 6800 if it didn't suck so much damn power.

With all the cash you spend on hardware, you could take a ncie holiday or buy a girl a fancy meal.

I think I'll let this comp last me for a couple of years...University and general life is eating away at my cash....especially since I can't lay off the CDs Wink.

Well, this computer has lasted me a couple years already, and it's not like I'm throwing it out, I'll just have two computers Razz . I've upgraded this one in the past quite a bit, but it's still running off a 266 FSB, and I'd like something faster. When I first built this comp, I wasn't as aware of prices, and didn't have a whole lot of money either. I also built it knowing that I would probably be building a new one a few years from that time, which is why I went for fairly cheap parts, and even used old parts from my Pentium 100 (just the 30GB hard drive).

I just took a nice vacation (and will be taking another in October), and I can't get a girl to buy a fancy meal for; and even if I could, I would still have enough for that  Wink. I mainly want the new one because it will be far more portable, immensely more powerful, and with all the latest technology (64bit, Socket 939, PCI Express, SATA, etc) it "should be" highly upgradeable in the coming years...knock on wood.

A vacation within the US doesn't count - go visit Martin in Belgium or hunt crocodiles in Aussie.

Actually I'd really like to go to Europe. Mainly the UK, France, Germany, and Spain, and anywhere else they have cool medieval stuff like castles, etc Razz . Not those palace-esque castles though, I mean the real ones Very Happy .
