Quote from: "Mark of the Dragon"
I personally think that Square shouldn't charge so much! Otherwise I'd buy the game!
Think about it. If you want to seriously play a MMORPG, your usually going to spend a good deal of hours playing it. Games like Metal Gear Solid cost $50 and are ~10 hours of gameplay. That comes to ~$5/hour of play once you've finished the game. With MMORPG's, with the game costing about $50 initially, and $13 a month say for, a year, that comes to about $17.17 a month if you play for one year. Say you played a mere hour per day, which is nothing compared to what most people play with MMORPG's, it would still only cost you a mere $0.57/hour of game play, and I guarantee you won't come close to beating the game in that amount of time, and even if you did come close, by that time a $20-$30 expansion would be released (ie "FFXI:Chains of Promethia") and give you even more gameplay.

Which is the better value?

Aside from cheap gameplay you get a great game that lets you team up with people you know, and knew people as well. Everyone likes to chat. Just take a look at all the applications that let you chat with people such as these forums, chat rooms, and instant messagers. Now you have a game that lets you play with thousands of people and chat with them to. Metal Gear Solid (and other games) won't let you do that.

No comments on me being hooked on Final Fantasy X-2? Wow...I think I'll go play that game for 2 hours instead of sleeping.

There would probably be more comments on it if anyone else were half as interested in that game as they were just about any other game on the market. I think one website put it best, "This game is just soaked in estrogen. So far, the girls have stood around talking about boys or just giggling, way too many times for my taste."

I'll wait for FFVII: Dirge of Cerberus to play an FF sequel

Besides, your post didn't seem to imply you had some sort of obsession.

Well, the only reason I'm playing that game is because I want to know if Yuna ever finds Tidus...ya know?

hey Final FantasyX-2 is great game, people just can't accept the main characters being girls instead of girlie men.
It's not better than FFX but for a sequel it's not bad at all.

I have no problem with playing a female role in a game. The problem is that the programmers over-emphasized the female stereotype, and the hero's act like 14 year olds. Then there's all the skimpy outfits Square threw in. FF's used to sell for their story/gameplay/graphics. When Square starts trying to sell the game with sex, it makes me wonder how much the other three are lacking that they'd have to resort to that. I don't have a problem with the chicks looking good, but Square didn't have to emphasize it.

I think the reason they probably did that (even though I don't agree with it) is to maybe get a different audience. I haven't gotten too far yet so I can't say much for the story however the graghics and gameplay are excellent.
