I've actually been slowly working on these for a month or so, and didn't plan on releasing them until I was completely finished; but I was inspired by a recent post and have decided to release what I have now, and slowly release the rest as I convert them.

So far I've ripped the music, sound effects, background images, and chipsets from the full version of RPGMakerXP. I have yet to rip the animations or character sets, as they're going to take a far longer amount of time and patience.

Chipsets (aka Tilesets)

Here is an example of one of 50 converted chipsets. All of the chipsets are of equal quality, and maintain the same organization as the original.

Music

A total of 80 music tracks are available, all in midi format. The archive includes not only your typical battle and world music, but fanfare tracks as well.

Sound Effects

All 200 sound effects are included, including the system sound effects (for menus, etc). Unfortunately they are in OGG format, which means that they will only work in TK3. They will not work in any version of TK2, or TK2PH. If there is enough demand, I may consider converting them to MP3 for use with TK2PH. If you use TK2, and want .wav versions, you will have to convert them yourself. There are simply too many, and the file size would be huge, if I converted them to .wav and placed them up for public download.

Background Images

Something there is a severe lack of for the TK. You can download more than 50 background images, including a Title Screen and Game Over. All of the background images have been resized to 800x600 so that they will fit the TK resolution. I've also clarified the images so that they look even better than the original. Here is an example. The optimized images are on the right.

All of these files are available at Mystic Software and hopefully I'll get the character sets and animations up soon.

PS - Do NOT ask me for a copy of RPGMakerXP. All requests will be immidiately deleted and ignored. If your looking for some kick ass RPG creation software, click here.

Wow. Those backgrounds are awsome. You made them look more profestional, and less like they were drawn on band aids! Razz

Hehehe. Very appropriate. Thankyou Spyder. I assume you have posted this at TKZ?

EDIT: Spyder, I have noticed something: when I try to see the screenshots of the tilesets (.pngs) I cannot, I only get red Xs. However, the screenshots I can see are all .gifs or .jpgs. Is it me, or does it happen to others too?

I may have linked to the wrong file. Hold on....

Fixed. When we re-uploaded MS to the new server, my old FTP client only uploaded files up to one directory depth, so anything inside a directory that was inside a directory never got uploaded, including the screenshots of the tilesets. I've re-uploaded them now, so they should work.
