Who wants to go first.  About what stuff you have on your computers and what does it do I guess because I'm running out of ideas for this topic already.

There's nothing wrong with Tough Dragon's topic. The whole point of an off-topic forum is to come up with random topics, providing it's not spam. This promotes activity, which keeps the community from dying, and will also drive interest to the community, which helps it grow, which in turn, generates more random topics, and the cycle (hopefully) continues.

Now, back on-topic, if you guys are actually capable of such a feat. I know it can be hard sometimes, but well, here, follow my lead...

I'm sorry MotD, but I don't recall deleting any topics recently. Which topic was it that was deleted, and how do you know it was me that deleted it? There are 4 other admin on this site, and any one of them could've deleted it. As for their actions, I trust each and every one of them to make the right decisions, and if your post was deleted, then it was probably for good reason. Most of the time we just edit posts, or lock them, and/or warn people not to post similar content. Deletion should be rare. There were some posts from this thread that were moved out of it and locked. They were not deleted.

As for my image, I forget exactly why it's not working. I think it happened when I was trying to get uploading avatars to work. I'll fix it when I'm not so lazy. Razz My image host is Mystic Software itself, so if it was having problems, you wouldn't even be able to view the board.

Also, on the subject of ToughDragon "not knowing when to stop posting", I certainly haven't seen this myself, and 3 posts in two days here on the off-topic forum is hardly excessive, especially when all three of them are perfectly legitimate topics.

I don't even know my specs anymore, actually. I upgraded most of my components and didn't make a stat sheet. Of course, next time I upgrade my video card and my processor, I'll let you guys know. Of course, my hard drive is the next thing to be replaced...after I back up all my files. Seriously, I need a 140 gig now...

Do you mean 120 or 160? There is no 140. I suppose either would be acceptable eh? What do you have right now?

BTW, for MotD and others, Start-->Run-->dxdiag will tell you nearly everything about your computer except the really detailed stuff. For the really detailed stuff go to www.cpuid.com and download CPU-Z and/or PC Wizard 2004 (both are legally free and at the same website).

I built my computer from the ground up, so I know most of the specs by heart. It's getting a bit dated, but until it stops running new games at playable speeds, I don't plan on upgrading, at least not until I get a car. Then I'll think about building a small form factor PC, which would be much more portable than my current computer.

I meant 160. Sorry; error on my part. I have an 80 now. As for ram...512 mb...gonna upgrade to 2 gigs. And the processor is a Pentium 4 2.4... I'm gonna upgrade to an AMD 64 soon...once I find one with the appropriate socket type.
