FF9! Sure, Dagger wasn't exactly hot, but it had the best storyline out of all of the FF Games.

I'm with MotD on this one. It's not that I really liked it or anything, but I think it did wonders for the FF series. That game in my opinion got FF back to it's roots sort of, with the completely outlandish storyline and the ... odd characters, it was fun.

Although, I do love the old NES games for FF. They are always fun to play, even if you have played them over.. and over... and over.

He's only listing the CORE FF Games that have already been released in America. Also, the GB games weren't really FF. FF Legend was really the start of SaGa, and Adventure was the start of Sieken Densetsu. Secret of Mana was the second game in Sieken Densetsu.

These were all released in the U.S.
I should know because I have them all...I also forget about Sword of Mana (Final Fantasy Aventure re-make for the GBA) and well I guess Kingdom Hearts could be included...since it has Aries,Yuffie,Cloud,Seph (FF7) and Squall (FF8) in it...

I would have to say FFX not just because Yuna's hot, but that it's emotional, except the end. Can't wait for FFX-2. But a runner up would be FF8 cause it's real fun, but I had to start over and I'm still only on Disk 2 because the first time I played the gameshark messed my game up so I had to start over, etc. (Rinoa was pretty, too)
