Dark Age Legends

[Xorlak]

The entity allowed the knives plunge into his torso... nothing.  He merely smirked at Haraldur.

"They talk to much.  I you better."

His response was a blurred closeline punch towards the newcomer's face.  At the same time, 7 identical images of the boy leapt from his body, all shouting in eerie unison:

"Accept your reward!!"

Three madly blazed toward Zion, Xenai, and Tsu, two more for Duilin and Maxwell, the next for Draven, and the last for Zeros'.

Draven began franticly blocking a flurry of flying shadow elemental orbs sent at him from his clone.

"This is... madness!"

(This guy is a NPC with special rules.  I'd like everyone to have a crack at controlling him.  The rules are 1. Keep him in character and 2. He's quite invincible in combat.  We obviously must think of a different way to beat him.  Heh...)

[Trent]

"Crap! We can't do it! Split up and take 'em on!" Zion just lumped the energy he charged up onto Tsu. Xenai did the same. The trio flew off in three opposite directions, each entity following their assigned target.

Zion turned to face the entity coming up on him while continuing to fly in the same direction, connecting his wrists, and firing an energy wave at it. The entity simply smacked it away and fired one at Zion that was 5 times stronger. Zion could do nothing but take the hit and hit the ground. "Ugh..."

Xenai turned around and stopped, attempting melee combat against the entity. Every punch and kick was effortlessly blocked. Xenai took out his sword, and slashed at the entity, but it blocked with HIS FINGER. A swift punch to the gut brought Xenai to his knees.

Tsu was trying to come up with a way to fight that thing... He had the light and dark energy, as well as the neutral energy to contain and utilize it. The only way he'd stand a chance against the entity is to use that energy to power up. He spun around, stopping, and let out a thunderous yell.

"New Forever!!!"

The ground underneath him formed a large crater. His hair stood on end now, because of all the energy. He had a quite large aura now, of swirling black and white. He gestured toward the entity to bring it on. "Psh, nice trick. It won't help you." The entity flew at Tsu.

[Zeros']

Zeros' merely moved with blurring speed, dodging everyone of the entity's attacks. Zeros' blurred with speed, launching punched and kicks at the entity. The entity dodged all the attacks with the same speed.

Both people became a blur as they dance in the air. One of the entity's attacks hit him in the gut, sending him fast towards the ground. Zeros' flipped backwards and landed on his feet as he launched into the air. He grabbed his sword, transforming it and splitting it in two, charging both sword with energy. He launched both attacks, one a sickly black-green, the other a holy white.

Both crescent attacks merged as a now glowing white crescent wave crackling with black energy raged towards the entity. The entity stood there, his arms crossed, an arrogant smirk on his face. The blast his the entity, exploding, sending a shockwave of holy and death energy. The dust cleared and entity still stood, but this time had a small scratch in the middle of his chest. A trickle of ethernal blood made its way down his chest.

The entity stood there with a gobsmacked expression on his face. hHis eyes alight with rage.

"You...You...YOU DARE!?" he shrieked in rage. "DIE!" he launched a barrage of deadly powerful shadow orbs at Zeros' as he dodged around them.

[Dude Man]

As the entity ran at Duilin, he swung his claymore at it's head. He quickly dodged it, and swung a punch at Duilin. He grabs the entity's fist, and swung him to the ground. Duilin, then stabed his sword down at him. The entity, smirked and then smashed the sword as it came down at him.

"Uh oh..." Duilin groaned, as he backed up.

The entity rose up "Accept your reward!!"

"I'll give you a reward!" Duilin blasted an energy ball at the entity, but he conter attacked with a dark blast, blowing right threw Duilin's attack, knocking him to the ground. "Aww...man..."

Maxwell, he swung out his sword at the entity. He smilply grabed the blade and bent the weapon. "

"Wah?" Maxwell ghasped. He then swung his gun at the entity's face, knocking him to the ground. He blasted a bolt at him, but the entity, jumped up and punched the bolt, and it fell to the ground. "What the hell!?"

Maxwell swung a punch right smack dab in his face, causeing the entity to move back abit. He then jumped at the Maxwell, and jump kicked him right below his chin, causeing him to lift up his enemy and brake out a tooth. Maxwell fell to the ground, in dizzines.

[Trent]

Zion's opponent grabbed his hair, pulling him up, and letting go, having enough time to spin around and put its foot into his gut, sending him flying backwards. "Urgh..." Zion waited for the entity to fly directly above him, and then took out Eternity Weapon, thrusting at the entity's chest. It hit, piercing the chest, drawing a little bit of blood. "You fool..." the entity pointed its hand at Zion's face. "You have no chance."

Xenai tried to get to his feet, but the entity would doublefist him in the head, sending him all the way down to the ground. "Gr..." Xenai sprung forward, in a somersault manner, and planted both of his feet into the entity's face, pushing him down to the ground, and slam! Xenai jumped off of him, snickering. The entity got to its feet, and within a microsecond, had planted his palm into Xenai's face, sending him about 10 feet back, hitting the ground hard.

Tsu glared at the entity, and the entity glared back. A standoff. Tsu spoke first. "Here I come." As he ran toward the entity, 5 times faster than normal, he put dents into the ground. Kuon Yaiba was unsheathed in a battou-jutsu manner, bringing it across the entity's head, causing it to spiral to the ground, but onto its hand, which pushed it off with a kick toward Tsu's face. Tsu dodged the kick, grabbing the entity's leg and spinning around, then throwing it at a nearby tree. The entity landed with its feet on the tree, sending a massive wave of energy at Tsu, that put him on the ground.

[Haraldur]

The boy's attacks had no effect on Haraldur, as they went straight through him. He grinned at the boy. He then noticed that the small wound one of his images had suffered healed very quickly, and grinned again.

He said to the world at large: "There is a chance that this being is a relative of mine..." Then to the boy he said, "Hello, brother."

He then sat down and watched what would happen, letting all attacks pass through him.

[Xorlak]

A punch to the face sent Draven flying downwards into a pile of rubble, which he entered with a bang, and flew out the other end, bouncing and tumbling across the ground.  He recovered to he feet, clutching his wounded shoulder.

"Cr... cretin!!"

His firey aura flared.  Pressing his palms together, he formed a blade of fire as he always has.  At the same time the dark entity clone opened his right palm, a blade of darkness, burning with shadow energy, appeared in his grasp.

"..."

They stared at each other for a brief second before Draven broke lose with a mad dash, the aura that flared behind him ripping the scorched earth apart.  The blades rapidly clashed again and again, each time with an explosive shockwave.

The darkened red sky blurred the vision...

Draven managed to send a telepathic message to Zeros' during the freocity of battle.

"Ragnar's here... if we can split him back up into the weapons...  I can't possibly think of another way to contain this thing..."

(*Ahem* You're the only one not getting beat up Haraldur... Heh...)

The dark entity fighting Haraldur scratched his nose.

"You are correct to sense a kindred...  I am the result of a spell cast upon blood collected from the most destructive of warriors...  The invincible Draken Alpha Retan*... An ancient king of Víkingagarđ..."

The dark entity shifted his plane of existence slightly.  It was a trick advanced mages often used to appear in one dimension, but exist in another so that attacks from the dimension they appeared in would not hurt them.  Now in the same plane as Haraldur, he began a furious assault of shadow energy...

(*Alpha Retan would be Retan's ancestor.)

[Haraldur]

"If he was invincible, howcome his blood was shed? Or did he do so himself?"

Haraldur allowed the shadow energy to envelop him, and said, "You have some things to learn about the effect of kindred, my brother, you should know that that will not work."

He split into nine identical copies: Of his nine incarnations. They were all Haraldur/Ragnar shaped, for Ragnar's hair had had its colouration corrected. They surrounded the boy.

"My brother," they said in unison, "You must be the last of the ten, the one which must now be complete is nearly so. All ten brothers, together for what must be done. Surely you know this, or has the captivity affected you worse than the captivities of ourselves? Surely you know what must be done, for our collective destruction, the end of our suffering."

[Zeros']

Zeros' dodged the furious asault and agreed with Draven.

Yes...but how can we succedd in doing that? Zeros' asked telepathically through as he dodged the shadow energy from the teenager.

[Trent]

The entity fired a blast at Zion, which put him into the ground. The entity threw a punch, which Zion rolled away from. He jumped to his feet, backing slowly away... "Crap, crap! I better summon it, or I'm toast!"

"Eternity Weapon!!!" Zion held his sword up, the gem on the hilt flashing brightly, and very rapidly. Eternity Weapon fell from the sky, landing in front of Zion, roaring at the entity.

Xenai rolled backwards onto his feet, noticing Eternity Weapon. "I guess it won't hurt to pull my ace out too."

"Zero Weapon!!!" Xenai thrusted his sword into the ground, and a pillar of darkness shot up around it, flinging the sword out of the ground, and back into Xenai's hand. Zero Weapon pulled itself out of the ground and roared at the entity.

Tsu jumped to his feet, immediately retaliating with an energy blast of his own, and following up with a furious renzokudan. The entity took the hits, bringing only grunts from it. When Tsu stopped firing, the entity appeared above him, instantly creating a huge energy ball and bringing it down upon Tsu. An explosion.

[Dude Man]

Duilin, tilted his head up, his vison was slighty blured....He spoted Haraldur, and his copies, he overherd what he had said.

"My god, we should have never trusted him...." Duilin groaned, he then began to get himself back up, the entity clone, pressed his foot down at Duilin's chest, pushing him back into the ground. "Damnit..."

You are weak. It hissed

"I...I am not!" Duilin snaped

The enitity grinned. "Ha ha ha..." He then knelt down, as he swung his fist at Duilin's face. Blood began to draw. Duilin was in to much pain, to cry out. His vision began to blur.

"I...am......not......" Duilin groan. "I am not!" He repeated, more louadly.

Maxwell, slowly got back up. The enitity, stood there and watched him. It blast a ball of dark energy, at Maxwell. burning threw his armor, knocking him back down onto the ground. Maxwell, then recoverd once again. He picked up a piece of rubble, and threw it at the entity. It did nothing.

"This, is imposible!" Maxwell yelled, he then, lifted up a huge peice of rubble. He then chucked it at the enitity, the rubble smashed into the entity, knocking it the ground, appearing to crush the boy.

"Ha ha ha ha!" Maxwell laughed "Stupid kid..."

Suddenly the enitity, warped behind Maxwell. "Now, my friend, you will die!". Maxwell turned his head, only to see the enitity palm open pointing toward his face. "What the fu-" before he could finish, the enitity blasted dark energy into Maxwells' face, melting it into nothingness....

(So, how many thousand characters have I killed off?)

[Zeros']

Ryu eyes narrowed as his magical eyes swivled wildly. He jumped down from the building and landed in front of Duilin and grabbed the entity's arm.

"Well now...WHO is this?" The entity smirked maliciously. Ryu's eyes narrowed as he roughly pushed the entity away from him, making the being stumble, not expecting that.

"You ok, Duilin?" Ryu asked kindly as he ducked under a punch. He reared back and delivered an axe kick, which caught the entity in the chin, lifting him into the air. The entity regained its balance and delivered a hard kick to the back of his knee. Ryu, still off balance, gritted his teeth in pain as the kick connected to the back of his knee, sending him onto his stomach.

He barely rolled out of the way as the entity's kick made a crater in the ground. Ryu raised his right arm and made a slashing motion. A vaccum blade appeared from his hand the sliced through the entity, who phased out of existance. He reappeared behind Ryu, smirking, but a small, almost unnoticable cut appeared in his robes.

Zeros' dodged widly as the entity went into a frenze of shadow blasts, its moves becoming less percise and missing him by inches, instead of centmeters. Zeros' sheathed his sword and held out his right palm, all the while dodging the entity's attacks. A small ball of pure the same shadow energy with the entity used appeared in his palm. Zeros' clenched his palm into a fist, causing the energy to spark and grow into a wicked blade of darkness that crackled with black energy tendrils.

The blade, which was made out of pure darkness, didn't look like a sword. It was roughly seven feet, but with the energy coursing through it, it flcikered in an out of focus. The entity stopped and smiled evilly, forming a  sword of darkness that looked like a sword, not a wicked spike.

The entity rushed forwards with blurring speed and Zeros' countered with the same.

[Dude Man]

Duilin, rubed his eyes, and then hopped up, useing his wings, and then landed on his feet. "Thank you Ryu..." Duilin nodded.

The enitity, then glared at the two "It is not wise to continue fighting, demon. It may be fatal!"

"Eat shit, moron!" Duilin yelled, he blasted at fire ball at the entity. The fire smacked the boy in the torso, causeing him to flinch and wobble abit.

The enitity that had just slian Maxwell, shifted his eyes in search of a new target. He spoted Kami-Ryu. He then ran at him, and jumped into the air "DIE!"

"Ryu! Watch out!" Duilin yelled. He then turned back at his oppenent. He then jumped into the air, and then dove down feet first aiming a jump kick at the enitity's torso, knocking him to the ground. The enitity fliped himself back up, and landed on his feet.

"You, just don't give up? Do you?"

"You talk to much!" Duilin, yelled. He then spoted the cut on his robe. Duilin blasted another electro shock at the enitity cut. The boy yelled out in pain as it zaped him. "And die to little..."

[Trent]

Zion jumped up at Eternity Weapon. A flash, then it and Zion were one: Ultima Eternity, as if Zion were wearing Eternity Weapon as armor. "Impressive." The entity leaped at Zion.

Xenai jumped up at Zero Weapon. A flash, then it and Xenai were one: Omega Zero, as if Xenai were wearing Zero Weapon as armor. "Still wanna be cocky with me, asshole?"

Tsu was borderline reverted. The entity's attack had taken a lot out of him. He used the last of his energy to kick the entity into the one that was now attacking Kami-ryu. He reverted and fell down, face first.

[Xorlak]

"The blood he shed was his own.  He is the one that created me.  The one I used to call 'master'.  I intend to find him and... return the favor someday.  Then we shall see if he truely is 'invincible'..."

He folded his arms as the Haraldur incarnations surrounded him.

"Myeh heh heh...  So it is true.  One of my parts is part of something greater.  How very convenient.  Yes, there will be much destruction and suffering...  But I shall continue to subsist, for I am the one to cause it!"

He began to shapeshift, taking the form of a gargantuan four winged black and gold dragon...

"Surrender to me and your suffering will swiftly end...  I shall absorb you all!  Your soul is MINE!!"

A blast of energy began to pull the Haraldur incarnations towards the dark entity, several souls that Haraldur had absorbed himself peeling off and merging with the beast...

The dark entity clones lost a little power-- just a little, as the real one became preoccupied with Haraldur...

Draven seized the moment and planted his crimson blade deep into the clone's chest.  With a swinging motion he brought the being underneath him and let go of the blade, opened his palms, and let lose a huge orb of flame racing after the entity as it plummeted to the ground.  The earth tore appart in flame...  Unsatisfied, Draven followed up with an endless barrage of smaller fireballs as he flew higher into the air, the air filling with smoke as he pummeled the fallen being.

He was physically exhausted after a full minute of the attack and panted heavily, clutching his arm, as he waited for the smoke to clear...

"Im... Impossible...!"

Two red eyes glared at him from below...
