"Hmmm..." Duilin thought for a moment. He turned and looked at Valos, and then at Draven "I'll go with the Elite group to."

"Perhaps I shall aswell." Valos said, grinning.

"I'm going to go with the attack squad." Marshal nodded. "My monsters that I summon will provide great assistment." He then turned to Rink. "Will you go with me little one?"

Rink, then thought for a little wile. He then turned and looked at Duilin, who didn't look back. "I'm going with elite squad."

"Are you sure?" Marshal asked.

Rink paused for awile and then nodded "Yes." He then sent a small telepathic message to Zeros'. 'I know what your thinking, but I am mainly going to keep an eye on Duilin. I'm worried about him, he's acting different.'

Marshal then looked at Draven "Well, do you think it will helpfull if I make contact with the Blue Minotaur, asking if they could aid?"

Zeros' nodded very discretly and sent a message back:

Actually, I am surprised by Duilin's control over his powers. I was actually predicting him to go partially insane five years ago. Because of how suddenly he came to the powers, I'm surprised he still has his sanity.

Zeros' explained for Rink, "Actually, Marshal, it would be helpful for Rink to come. He is powerful for an Imp and because of his small size, he could sneak through places we couldn't," he explained.

Zion crossed through the portal. "In case you need me." And then Xenai. "I'm bored."

Draven nodded at Marshal.

"The aid of your group, while not necessary, might be helpful.  If you can contact them quickly, that is.  Time is of the essence..."

He turned to the rest.

"Excellent.  Though I would prefer to be part of the elite unit, I must organize and lead the troops personally.  Once my men make a safe landing and begin their task, I will join you."

He turned to his four bodyguards in the back.

"You four are on defense.  Make sure he doesn't attack from behind and skrew up my palace."

"What?"

"Ah, man..."

Draven folded his arms.

"That is all, move out at once.  My army won't be far behind.  Zeros', contact me telepathically when you've made a clearing for my men and give me the location."

He turned and left the room, passing an officer who began to follow.

"How many, my lord?"

"All of them."

----

Ven turned to see Zion and Xenai walk through a solid wall...  Apparently it was a one-way portal.  Great.

He continued down the corridor.  There was an opening on his right, and apparently another corridor parallel to the one they were in.  A little ways down, there was another opening on the left and and a similar scene.  It was at this point Ven realized he had lead the group into some sort of giant labyrinth...

He stopped and scratched his head.

"Uhh..."

Then the footsteps came.

There was something big walking around in the maze with them.  They seemed  be coming from the general area of the left doorway, though somewhat far away...

Marshal nodded in acknowledgement to Draven. "I shall make contact with them as soon I can."

Duilin turned around and took out his mace twirled it. "Another epic battle. This should be fun."

Marshal then walked over to a blank piece of paper on the desk, with a pen. He then began writing...

Dear Blue Minotaur High Elder Garu

A powerful army in the nation of Vikingagarð, has proven to be a great threat, possibly attempting to take control of the world. The leader of the army is the man known as, Haraldur, he is extremely powerful. I have made an alliance with a few people who were the ones who in fact saved the world five years ago. My group, and the Crimson Empire are going to take force on this army. Yet your help would be greatly needed for the enemies' soldiers are very powerful mages. Arrive at the Crimson Empire stronghold if you agree to help, but please be quick on your decision.

       ~Marshal Royle

He then step outside, rose his staff, and a spectre of a winged creature appeared. It materialized into a wyvern. He gave it the note, the creature held the note in one of it's claws. "Go, back to the temple, give this to the High Elder. Make haste."

//Taking over the world? Soldiers? Army? Where are your characters getting this impression from? Or are they just making an assumption? I want to know because I want to guage how obvious or subtle Haraldur will be with his intentions, as my current plan does not seem to be working in that respect.//

//The characters think that Haraldur is trying to take over the world, or at least, part of the world, or to destory the world, starting from where Haraldur is currently located. They want to stop Haraldur before he has a chance to initate whatever plan he has.\\

Zeros' nodded. He turned towards his three companions in the elite force.

"Let us make haste. We have no idea what Haraldur has planned," with a swirl of his cloak, Zeros' wings furrled from his back and he took off in flight. He then remembered the distortion in the air and went towards it. Now that he thought about it, the distortion he felt must of been Haraldur weaving some spell.

While flying, though Zeros' started to think about this conflict more.

Yes, Haraldur did try to destroy the world five years ago, but what if this time Haraldur has an alternate plan, what if he really wants to work in Harmony... One part of Zeros' mind mused silently to himself. He kept these thoughts seperate from the mental connection of Draven. They were, of course, his angel side that said that.

Marshal headed towards over to Draven. "Draven, I sent a note to them, they should resive it shortly, but it may or may not take awile for them to reach a choice. So I shall wait here untill they arive, or reply saying they cannot." Marshal stated.

----

"Duilin." Valos said to him. "We must go."

"Well, I'm not sure if we should leave just yet." Duilin replied.

"Why not?" He asked

"Because, we should save up our energy it will be a hard battle."

"Well, Zeros' dosen't seem to think that is nessicary."

"He runs on a totally different type of power, ki, I have chosen to the path of magic, and bloodrage. Since I am a demon bloodrage is natural, yet since I am also humen, I am able to use magic."

"Of course..." Valos, rubbed his chin "But won't they need our help."

"I have fealing it will take awile for them to find the island. The world has changed alot."

"Very well, I shall inform Lord Draven. You tell your friend, Zeros' about our plan..."

Duilin sent a telepathic message to Zeros'
"Zeros'. My power is very low at the moment. I am going to atempt to build up more energy before I atempt to fight Haraldur. I'm sorry, but I must get more power. I hope you understand."

Wile, Valos sent one Draven
"Lord Draven. Duilin wishes to build up more power. This shall perhaps build up his bloodrage makeing him more suductive. Heh, if everything goes acording to my little plan he may be of aid, after I alliance with 'Flyboy', as you call him, is over.

Rink, overherd the conversation, and even was able to intercept a small amout of the telepathic messages. He then sent one to Zeros'.
"Zeros' something is going wrong here. I'll handle it. I'll be on my way in a few hours or so. You might not want to try and fight Haraldur yourself untill then, but go ahead if you wish to."

//Yeah, the reason for this. My mom couldn't have picked a worse time, but I am going on a tiny vacation for a few days. Untill Saturday to be exact. Sorry about this, so on Saturday afternoon, I'll be back. We are leaveing tomorrow, so I may be able to make a quick update for tomorrow, but it's not a sure thing. My mom's really stuborn about the computer. <_< .\\

(We can slow down for Dude Man a bit.)

Draven smirked at how gung-ho the "heros" were in taking out Haraldur.  Excellent... this is going to be very entertaining...

"Yes, Valos, keep a close eye on that one.  He may attain a useful level of power some day..."

He and the officer continued down the set of stairs, making a turn at an adjoining hallway.  Two guards lifted their spears out of his way as he passed a heavy door...

----

(You could help me out a bit.  I'm just winging this, you know.  Heh...)

The footsteps came closer and closer.  Ven flashed the others a concerned look, but didn't say anything for fear that it would hear.  The footsteps seemed to be winding their way around corners, getting louder and louder...

Ven stepped towards the doorway on the left and moved toward the right side of it, pressing his back against the wall.  He drew his sword, and slowly began to peer out into the opening...

They had reached the north pole of the world. Now instead of rain, large hail stones were falling from the storm clouds. Bits of ice were floating in the sea, and the turbulent areas, and large chunks of ice were in the walls of water.

Zeros' sighed and shook his head. He sent a message back to Duilin:

Don't worry. I understand. He then sent a reply back to Rink. Keep a close eye on Duilin. He choose magic and bloodrage. If he gets too drunk with power, he can be easily manipulated. I believe this might be how Qor recrutied Duilin's father to his side: The promise of power.

Unknown to Draven or Duilin, he had kept a very discrete mental connection with both. He couldn't nessessarily read their minds without making the connect stronger, thus, making it detectable. This type of connection let him detect their surface thoughts. It took someone who had been practicing arts of the mind for over one hundred years to even detect the connection, let alone sever it.

He felt the pleased aura come from Draven and he could only guess what it was about (he can actually only read emotions and thoughts that stay in his mind too long; if they pass by too fast, he can't). So, therefore, he slowed down some, his eratic flight changed into a more lazy drift across the air, for once, being able to enjoy the sensations of flying with wings.

Draven entered a large room, filled with soldiers standing at attention.  He turned to the officer.

"We shall divide them into four platoons of 2,000 each and two platoons of 1,000.  The four large groups will board four of the smaller, faster warships, and the final two will board two of the smaller airships.  Each ship is to be additionally equipped with a wyvern unit and a defensive mage unit.  Understood?"

"Yes, my lord."

The gates in the back of the room opened and the soldiers began their march to the long row of piers, except for a fifth of them, who began their mach to the upper reaches of the palace where the airship docks reside.

"Excellent..."

The other two joined Ven in hiding... and then it emerged: A huge dragon... The shape of a necrodragon, but this one was alive. It looked grand, yet terrifying. It had black scales all over it, and deadly purple eyes.

//How's that? ^_^

--- --- ---

Tsu landed, coming upon the portal. It seemed to be closed. Aura then caught up, about 20 feet back. Tsu turned to look at her. "Why are you following me?"

"Just trying to find out some things about the creepiest guy I know."

Tsu unsheathed Kuon Yaiba. "Be gone."

"I don't think so."

"Very well... You leave me no choice..."
