Valos smiled at Aura. "It is nothing to worry about, my dear." He said calmly. "He is not a part of the Empire, loosing him would be a small loss, if any." He then put his hand on her shoulder, and spoke softly. "Don't worry, someday you will beat him." He then looked at Duilin. "Well, my friend. You seem to be reliable enough, since you stopped Rink, if anything like what has happened goes on again, try and talk some sense into your friends.

Duilin looked at Aura and Valos and then at Tsu and then back at Valos. "Sure." He said lowly wile nodding his head.

Duilin then turned around and saw Ven. "Hey, I saw you got pretty hurt up by that demon." He said to him. "You okay?"

----

Rink turned his head up and looked at Zeros'. "That's what I'd like to think, Zeros'." He said as he continued walking. He then lowered his head, and looked in front of him. "But...that Valos...he makes me hate this alliance so much, and as soon as Duilin stopped me from hitting him, I know he was just trying to stop a fight, but...it seems like he's on his side." He then walked a bit faster, up ahead of Zeros' and then stopped and clenched his fist. "I just...can't wait until this alliance is over." He then turned around, and looked back at Zeros' and then looks at the group further away and saw Valos talking to Aura, and Tsu all upset. "I know I'm not the only one who's getting sick of him..."

"I can't remember much about Duilin's father." He said, seemingly trying to change the subject. "But I remember talking to him, telling him what he was doing is wrong, and him just yelling back, telling me I don't understand. He was just going mad with power...But...I don't know why I was there...or really how I know it was Duilin's father...but, I know I'm not wrong about it...How many people have the last name Talonscar anyways?" He said making a fake grin.

-"Okay, i'm done... but it doesn't seem to do much good..."
Ein stood up. The small picture he drew on the ground dimmed, and eventually completely darkening. Nothing happened.
-"Wang..."

Gerard continued repeating the cycle. A humungous pile of largelicious black bricks about one ton each continued building up.

Marshal groaned. Another soldier readies his weapon at Ein, and he fired upon him. One came towards him, and he shot at him, yet one came behind him, and stabed him in the back, cutting through the armour. "Oh...my..." He limped down towards the ground. The soldier then readies to finish him off, yet he fired his gun at him, just pointing his right arm behind him, without turning around. He then stood up, that strike on him really hurt. "I'm in need of medical assistance." He groans. He then lies back on the ground. He then looks around. "Guess...I got them all...Ein...we should leave...we need to find Haraldur..." He says breathing deeply. "I'm hurt...but I should live....not to...worry..."

Ein came over to marshal, and helped him up. Then, suddenly, a huge lightning struck the earth behind him, right into the picture he drew. The ground there split in half.

Hyperion flew back down into Retangrad to put the injured out of their misery. There were still Greys left who managed to get to safe grounds, but he didn't expect they would try anything.

"If you would excuse me sir, I would like to return to the Crimson Capital. My leg needs rest." Aura saluted Valos before tossing her hairpin into the air and letting it transform into the flying disc.

Tsu flapped his wings a bit. "Alright, let's go, then." He took off quickly toward the Crimson Capital. Zion and Xenai looked at each other, and then followed.

Aura looked to Tsu with a hateful envy of the wings. "Ugh, he's going that way too?" She hopped onto the disc, and took off toward the Crimson Capital, not as quickly as the winged warriors.

--- --- ---

Zion and Xenai shot forward quickly, catching up to Tsu, who was flying faster than he should be. "Dude, what the hell? You need to slow the hell down!"

"I am grateful that I've not yet experienced this feeling that you are now."

"Seijin, you'd better make her realize..."

"Seijin? What's he have to do with all this?" asked Zion.

"I asked him to protect Aura if her life would ever be threatened, and he accepted, to pay back for way back when, when we helped Gaia save Gaian. But he said, however..."

--- --- ---

Mugen Seijin spun the Transcender around in his hand, tossing it around like a member of high school colorguard. It gathered more and more energy. "Now that Aura's in the Crimson Empire, there is no doubt her life will soon be threatened. I hope you understand, Tsu. I can only do this once. I'm not supposed to meddle with human dealings."

//I hope this energy transfers over to the next chapter.

--- --- ---

"...So when he does save her... He had better knock it into her head, that I am the one."

//End of chapter for all characters.

Zeros' plopped himself on the ground, next to Rink, and sighed.

"Not many people have the name Talonscar, yes, and it's also possible for Duilin to be his father. I promise you, if, Duilin becomes mad with power, I will kill him. You and I both know he's a good kid. He wouldn't of even known about his heritage, but, Nex had to tell him. Even if Nex hadn't, he would of met with Valos eventually, and then, Valos would of had time to shape him.

"The way I figure it, our influence on him might give him enough to not turn towards Valos, just because he had known his father," he said, ending his train of thought. He leaned back, and cross his arms behind his head, closing his eyes, before opening them, and looking up, towards the tormented sky.

"Maybe... Just maybe... This alliance will be over soon, and Haraldur and Melkoth will be gone. Then, I can finally rest," he looked over towards Rink. "You know, I lied about my age... I'm probably around... 200,000 years or older... I've lost track of my exact age," he said, and chuckled. "Figures," he said amusedly.

Then, he just continued to stare at the sky, and wonder what would happen...

---

Allen leaned back against the stone wall, right outside where his old lab used to be. Everything was destroyed. He slid down, and sighed, closing his eyes. He would just rest...

//End for both. \\

Ven took a few steps back and leaned on one of the many dismal gray boulders around the area. He responded to Duilin:

"Yeah, I'm fine..."

Except for the headache. Right leg hurts like heck AGAIN as well. Both shoulders kinda sore too... And the back. Ohhh... but that's been sore since he's met these guys. Blasted heavy armor...

He leaned his head back and looked up at the sky. It's a little too quiet...

"The eye of the storm..."

Things were going to heat up again real quick, he could feel it... He rested his eyes for a bit, tying to recover as much stamina as possible before round two...

He could hear a group of soldiers approaching... It was a garrison of the Crimson Empire regrouping and forming ranks nearby, the officers yelling their orders resonating in the background...

Marshal, then sat back up, and reloaded his gun. "The others, should be looking of us, so we better watch out." Marshal said. He then held his weapon ready to shoot any soldiers that came his way, yet it seemed to be calm at the moment. "Really watch out, Zeros' or Draven could pop up and take us both out, if we don't be careful. But, I'm not sure if we are the main problem to them at the moment." He then rubbed his forehead, and then placed his hand back onto the gun. "We shouldn't be here, we should leave soon..."

----

Rink then laughed. "Yeah, I'm kind of like that to. But the thing is, I don't even have a clue, I could be fifty or five thousand for all I know." He then laid back. "I hope we don't have to kill Duilin...But you're right...we won't. Valos can't convince him."

----

Duilin grinned. "Okay, okay." He then sat down, in front of one of the boulders near by Ven. "You know...You remind me of an old friend, I knew back in the day...He was knight, some army called Romme. He was a good man. I still miss him..."

He then took out a small shard of metal from his pant pocket; it had the symbol of Romme on it. "I kept this, just to remind me not to trust the Empire, and remember what I'm avenging..."

He then looked at Valos, watching the four others leave. The general then approached them. "Duilin, do you wish to head back home? I'm sure there is somebody waiting for you, heh heh."

Duilin narrowed his eyes. "Actually...no, I'm staying here, they need me."

"Very well...I suppose I should stay as well...I still haven't finished everything I needed to do..."

Valos then nodded and walked off into the fields.

----

Valos then looked at the two cities in the distance, and then turned his head towards the Grey Empire castle. "He must have gone there...He couldn't have gone far."

"Oh I didn't go far." Said a recognizable voice from behind Valos.

"Holy..." Valos then turned around, it was Abodahon. "Master...Abodahon...It's good to see you again." He said a little frightened

"It is good to see you two are alright, have you been working well together.

'I've had to remind him a bit, yet we are working fine.' said a ghostly familiar voice that seemed to just enter Abodahon's mind.

"Excellent, just remember your place Valos, or else you'll loose your freedom, just like Nex did." Abodahon said

"Yes...master..." Valos replied with his head down.

"Excellent, now...keep your trust with the Crimson Empire, it may be useful for the next battle."

"What do we need me to do?" Valos asks

"We'll discuss this later, just keep a good eye on my son...Duilin" Abodahon said, ending the conversation and then disappearing just as he did before.

Ven simply nodded. Romme, yes he knew of it. A bitter enemy of his nation at one time, then a powerful ally. Then an enemy once more... Back and forth. It was a three hundred year history between the two...

And then one day, it was gone.

The King didn't know whether to celebrate or mourn. The two kings had last met on unfriendly terms, but still, no nation deserved a fate such as that... An explosion, an evil spell, rumor circulated that the island had returned after the blast, but it wasn't the same... what was left of the civilization that was once there in ruins...

"So, you are a wizard?" Albatrash says to his new companion "You should know I don't like witchcraft." He adds
"Well I only use basic element spells and none of that black magic crap." replies Wizzy.
"Good."
"Well... anyways there is a battle going on out there and I want to be a part of it!
So lets go to the commander."
They head toward the commander's office and see that he is looking busy.
"You Albatrash! Get over here!" The commander says.
"Yes sir!"
"You looking for some action?? The commander offers
"Uhh...Well...I'm not into..."
"No pervert! I mean do you want to go into battle?"
"Ohh! Oh, yes sir."
"Great, I?ve got squad of shock troops ready to send to Alphagrad and the commanding officer died when Ragnar and you have permission to lead the squad.
"Perfect! Wizzy, you can come to. If that?s alright?" Jonny asks
"It is, now lets go inspect the troops!"

"The job is done."

Hyperion looked at the destruction he caused and grinned. In a smooth motion he waved his hand and the fire disappeared. He began flapping his wings, but barely got off the ground before falling back down. He glanced over to his wing where a spear had been lodged.

"Damn"

A group of the remaining Greys surrounded him, they were all armed and ready to strike.

Chapter 8

Flashes of light could be seen in the darkness between the hundreds of glowing balls of light-- reflections off the armor between the scattered torches. A "Hail Emperor Draven" resonated from the small group of men scattered around the Emperor, and then they parted. Some by flying wyverns, some by large scaly lizards with the speed of horses, and some simply by foot. They had their orders.

Quiet moments passed.

The darkness was almost impenetrable, and a torch bearer could barely see five feet in front of him.

Large columns of torches could be seen from one watching in the distance, forming two organized groups. The two legions separated, one moving northward to Alphagrad, the other southward to Retangrad. Wave two was beginning...

Then a red light tore the sky. It was Draven. He flew eastward at an altitude of 200 feet or so, away from the battle at a casual pace...

----

Ven sat up, startled at the sound of clanging armor, a steady strong marching sound somewhere behind him. He had apparently dozed off for a few minutes and sat up to peer over the rock behind him that he was leaning on. He tried to pinpoint the location of the fading noise, but there was nothing but blackness... what sort of an army can move without light?

As the sound faded, Ven took a look around for his traveling companions, but could barely even see his hand in front of his face. He crouched down and ran his gauntlet through the dusty ground. Perhaps he could find a branch or something to ignite with a flame spell...

//Xorlak, the more i observe you and your characters, the more you seem like a pyromaniac to me, heh\\

Ein looked at the field filled with corpses.
-"Meh... What a waste."
He turned around facing Marshal.
-"You said we should leave soon. Where do we have to go?"

---

Steorra was walking on a road passing through a large, extremely dense forest. Soon an opening seemed to appear at the end. She hurried towards it...

...strong smell of sulfur and smoke hit her like a brick. She covered her nose with one of her sleeves, and caught sight of a large black mass. It was still smoking, but even through smoke she could make out what used to be towers, and remains of some sort of a fortress. //she is in whatever's left of Redvik right now\\
