Whenever I try to run the installer downloaded from MS I am told that it failed to initialise and I am given also in the message: (0xc0000005). What does this mean? Can it be fixed? Has anyone else had this problem?

Hmm. You've mentioned this once, so I didn't download the 2 chapters, but I still got the 1st chapter from earlier update. Or maybe these were chapters 1&2. Anyway, it worked.

(0xc0000005) is a well known "finance bug" in Windows 98, XP and ME. Your computer doesn't run program because you didn't pay enough cash for the software and Bill (Editor: Censored) is angry at you because he gathers money for his private army of mercenaries to conquer US.

I have no idea what bug Cesque's talking about...

Apparently I'm getting the same bug. I'll contact Cyrus, he must have a backup file he can upload. My first guess, and probably the correct one, is that I defragged my hard drive a while back. It messed up more than one file, and I wouldn't be surprised if it messed up that one as well.

Cyrus says it was me who created the install file for the combined copy of Ch 1+2, so he doesn't have it, but he may have the original files somewhere, so he's going to look.

I hope that after the install that this version of D&C will work, unlike the other.
