Alright, I've decided to make a HUGE method pack and battle template for the shack, and I want to cover everything needed for a Battle System.

What I've already decided will be in the pack are:

Limit Breaks
Getting Stats
All Attacks
Getting Items/Spells
Multiple Player/Enemy Support
Turn-Based Combat
*Possible* ATB Combat
Full Instructions
Victory Music Support

And yes, I will put in a template with these methods.

If anyone wants me to add some other things to this, post here, or email me at markofdragon@edgeemu.com and let me know.

And G, sorry about givin' you a hard time about the Battle System DevKit before the forum crashed.

You were born in the land of Warrior Pride. You live to fight, you have a strong spirit, courage and bravery. Strong lord! Unsheath thy sword, rush into war and strip the enemy of his flesh down to the core.

Umm...yeah

How about a thing where the character graphics get better (like in FF7) when the battle starts? And something where the character actually TOUCHES the enemy. Oh, and a starting animation (like in FF8) and a "Yah! I won!" animation, like in FF8?
Laughing Would be nice, though.
Oh, while your at it, get me a cola and make my BS for me, too. Laughing JK.

Please be reasonable...that would take FOREVER for even Xorlak to make. The TK can't handle that kind of thing.

Normally, I would be posting on the RPGCode forums right now, but they are down so I have come to help out here.

Suggestions:
As trigunasha said, make it to where the player actually hits the enemy.  That shouldn't be too hard with the #PathFind() and #Push() commands.

Thats about it.

Alright, I'll TRY to include it in the "Battle System Creation Pack."

Give me a couple years to get it done.

Oh. I thought he was talking about the pseudo-3D FF7 battles which would be rather hard to accomplish. Just moving the player to the enemy is pretty easy, actually.

Yeah, well, this is a template pack and stuff, so it's not gonna be TOO flashy. Also, with all the TK updates that'll come out by the time this is done, it may be outdated anyway.

Whenever chris makes a few more toolkits, do you think it'll be possible to have 3d battles where the cameras move around all the time? I hope so...

Well, with A LOT of C++ knowledge and the right programs, it is possible to create a 3d battle system with the Toolkit in Plugin Form. I wouldn't try it, though.
