<a href='http://cesque.mysticsoftware.net/races.html' target='_blank'>http://cesque.mysticsoftware.net/races.html</a>

Check the lower section, under race/class combination graphics.

I've decided customising characters by using stat points to improve certain stats is far too, hmm, "wide-ranged" method, that would decrease meaning of what races are for. Thus, here I introduce trait system like from Fallout / Lionheart. Simply, it increases character's skill in one branch, decreasing another one.

The small 32x32 icon images are what I refer to as "cameos"... My game will be full of it. Each item, spell and talent will be represented by these, so you'd best get used to them! They of course look more clearly in game's lower resolution.

If you have any ideas, suggestions, comments, flames, post 'em.

Finally, Haraldur will be able to play atheist if he'd like to and actually gain something from it Laughing

(in case you don't know what Toughness cameo represents, it's man's elbow smashed by a hammer)

Now I'll have to do some choices of what classes and races should be able to pick what  Laughing Really, sorceress with brute force or paladin with vampiric touch would be weird, not to mention zealot atheist  Laughing

There also is small imbalance, I guess... There are simply only 2 magic-enhancing traits (Lifegiver, Magic Talent) while most concern on melee or melee & ranged attacks (Brute Force, Finesse, Marskman, Rage, Vampiric Touch)...

I've thinked of "elemental affinity" traits, for example being stronger of fire magic but weak against ice damage, but currently no player weaknesses are done in BS nor planned (simly, you can become resistant to certain element, but not weak against it), altrough this shouldn't be too much to code in. Only thing planned is additional few points of lightning damage to players wearing heavy metal armors (electric conduction).

And the Finesse icon/cameo looks a bit weird  Laughing It was supposed to be blade dispatching an apple, but I've added the weird positioned hand and motion blur effect and it looks just ugly  Razz

EVEN?!

Well, the default BS in done in VB and doing this in rpgcode is God damn hard, so don't try to say there's no point of doing it because it would be worse than default BS.

My BS is only 1 on 1 currently, so you already gonna say it's far worse and I should use default or what?

(surely you haven't coded much of BS yourself)
