Thanks!

And yes, I do have some ideas on the subject of generation jumping. I like the idea, myself, but I assume we could keep some of the characters through a random, unexplained cool way? Also, we'd have to decide what happens to the world meanwhile... Or, Xorlak could pull a Xorlak and just do it himself. Smile

Wow, great Ein! Congrats.
And how will the "challenge" go?

Yes, the generation jump is way better. But it could be a pretty long jump. Only cool characters would survive. The whole reason that this RP gets a little messy is because of the world scale and a little lose storyline now. So maybe we could make the world not in a very good state. The wars and civil wars have pretty much divided the huge countries into small villages. I guess each player could have some kind of village, and the thing would start with maybe a village council calling some villages together and the strongest warriors from them to defeat the new enemy.. who knows.

The "challenge" is slow, as the guy is currently working (read: doing nothing) on our project in Programming.

EDIT: Xorlak, when are the signups opening?

Possibly this weekend if people are interested.

I'm thinking we also use the 18 sign ups thread to come to a decision as to whether we want to do the generation jump and if 18 will be the last chapter set in this timeline.  I'll get my thoughts organized then.

It just depends how much we get done this chapter. Like we need an 'ending' for the 'Kandarin Saga'.

Plus the current Talonscar subplot I have going.

How about the Federation construct some sort of device that would let a few characters 'travel' ahead a 100 years or so instead of every character finding their own way to do so. The 'evil' characters could find another way. This could also be some sort of plot idea that the only way to escape the coming darkness is to do so or something or other.

Just an idea, and I guess this'll only work if the characters that people want to keep over the generation gap are part of the federation.

Yeah, but we would need to find a reason why the characters would want to do that though, so it works for the story.

I'm sure Xorlak can think of a good idea. Razz

That would kinda defeat the purpose of the whole "fresh start" concept we have going on here... (Heh...)

But yeah, DM is right.  We should take our time and resolve the current story arcs properly rather than worrying if this will be the last chapter in this timeline.  Although, having grown bored last chapter, I skipped the meat of mine and am in position to end it quickly, he he he...

I'm thinking when it's all said and done, we have a good "happy ending" to usher in an "era of peace" that marks the time skipped before starting again X years down the road.  We could certainly set up some history in that time period as well, including more empires or heroes that have risen and fallen.  Of course, other ideas are welcome!

There may be one or two characters I might actually want to keep after the story arc. Depending on how it goes.

Well I would only keep Puco and Czernn, which both don't age... so it would made logic. I think the best Chapter end would be "Most is destroyed, but we live happily on the ruins." thing. But we'll see I'll guess. This whole thing makes me want to RP again Smile
