//It's make like a tree and LEAVE. You know, like leaves on a tree? Heh. But yeah, the exit would be like a cave, it's the only way in or out of Tjedon, I belive.\

"Uhh yeah." Duilin replied still smiling, but then went to a more neutral expression. "Well, you know what I mean. Retan destroyed Romme, and his generals lead armies that slaughtered the entire kingdom, all for a sword. When I truly saw what was going on, I knew I had to make sure nothing like this happens again. I'm sure you guys must have made a promise to yourself or others, or something like that, else you wouldn't have been fighting alongside me and Zeros'."

--- ---

The elite was blown back several yards as Anti's fist smashed into his face, he hit the ground leaving skid marks as he tore the ground. He stopped moving...

The other elite with the big hole in his chest got back up, and aimed his charged right gauntlet very carefully as his opponent had his back turned. He didn't care about the lack of honour; the Talonscar had been backstabbers since Abodahon made his first steps on Gaian and started the group.

The elite then fired an orange laser, moving at light speed (since lasers are light) right at Anti's back...

---

"Ooff--"

Nex was pushed forward as Draven's fist smashed into the back of his head. He regained his balance and turned his head, seeing the enraged man behind him.

"As always, you're so touchy." Nex derided as he whipped out his scythe from nowhere and turned around to face his foe.

He flipped the scythe around, with the blade pointing upwards and gave a downwards swing with the blunt metal skull at the end coming down to hit him on the head. I was a sign that Nex wanted to beat him up before he killed him. He liked to see their pain, before he ended it for them. It reminded him of the good old days when he was torturing souls in Hell.

"About time... There's the cave's exit. Let's go." Tiberius lead the party out of the caves and into a new valley outside of Tjedon.

"The cave was just the least of our problems... I assume we want to get to North Point, correct?" Valiko stepped infront of Tiberius.

"What are you getting at?"

"Well, the fact that North Point is in the Dark Continent... And seeing as how we're in Tjed, we'll need some sort of method of transportation."

"Damn... should've thought about that... what about that port?"

"I'd rather not go back... best just press forward and hope for a boat."

"Best damn idea I've heard all day. Let's go."

"Hmm... It just so happens that we're greatly in luck. Look."

"Wow a boat! Uh... that's a pirate ship..."

"You have any better ideas?"

"Guess not. Let's go." Tiberius lead the way down to the coast. After about a mile or so of walking, they found a great ship. However, the company on board, or one might say the current tenants, weren't taking a fancy to new passengers.

"I swear, if da cap'n doesn't give us our fair share of da haul..."

"What're you gonna do 'bout it? Da cap'n's a mage! He'd burst your very bones into dust!"

"I'm just sayin', if we don't get our fair share, we'd probably be better off on a'nover ship... Hey, who be dem people?"

"I don't know... prob'y lookin fer a ride... Great. More bleedin people on dis bleedin ship means less food. Why don't we jus gut 'em now? Entertainment might pull my mind off the sicha'machin..."

"You talk funny, mate, but yeah, I'm game. Let's gut the blighters!"

"Gentlemen." The two pirates sitting on the railing of the ship were both stunned, not by magic, but of fear.

"Cap'n...... Viskis?"

"What are you just sitting around here for!? Get your ass in gear and swap the deck, or I'll have your head on a platter!"

"Yes, cap'n!"

"......"

"And you too, Joel! Get back to work!"

"No."

"What!?"

"You 'erd me! I sai-gguughh...... cap...n...?" Captain Viskis stabbed his magical sabre straight through the pirate's stomache, then pushed him overboard. The pirate puked blood as he fell from the great ship into the shore water.

"Hmm... Seems we've got company. Keep the anchor down for another few moments, and throw down a board!"

"Yes cap'n!" Two other pirates grabbed a large board and hooked it to the railing of the ship. Captain Viskis walked down the board and stepped on shore.

"Many greetings! My name is Jorran Viskis. What may we humble sailors do for you this most fine of days?"

"We're seeking passage to the Dark Continent. Could you help us?" Tiberius grabbed his coin pouch and threw it to the mage. He caught the pouch and opened it. There were more than a few glimmering silver and gold pieces.

"Hmm... Decent quality... I think I might abide to your request. Welcome aboard the Black Haven!" The mage captain took a bow and turned around, walking up the ramp back aboard his ship.

"That was a bit easier than I had expected... after you."

------------

"Hmm... let's see... Do you guys know how to cast fire yet?" Jacobie wasn't as overwhelmed by these two lizardmen as was Justin. He found out that they were only mere trainees, and that this was supposed to be their first mission. Surprizing that the Dark Empire would let soldiers this young join the Empire. They were mere teenagers, both about seventeen.

"Me first! Me first!" The first apprentice was jumping around slightly, quite excited. However, so was the second.

"No way! You go already! I go now!" Both the lizardmen stared at eachother.

"Calm down! A true mage does not care about petty squabbles such as this." After Jacobie had said this, both the lizardmen looked immediately at Jacobie. This had seemed to calm them down a bit.

"Okay... You go first then."

"Thank you! I go now." The young lizardman held his hand up in the air. It began to let off a small trickle of smoke, then it slowly started to spark around, soon casting fire around his hand.

"Very good! You guys learn fast. Now, can you put it out?" The lizardman widened his hand, and the fire slowly died down into a small puff of smoke. Then, nothing remained.

"Excellent work! Alright, your turn. Actually, before we continue, I'd like to know your guys' names." The first lizardman jumped forward.

"Me's Borom! He's Gogron!"

"Borom... Gogron... Hang on a second..."

------------

*FLASHBACK*

"Come on, Thommas! If you swing like that, you wont hit anything!"

"I'm trying! Father, I'm exhausted! Can I take a break?"

"Alright... We've been out here for ten or so hours... Go ask your mother for supper. I'm heading off to bed. Oh, and don't bother Drake... He's sleeping."

"Thank you, father!"

"I'm your dad, Thommas. Just call me dad."

"But mother said that's rude."

"Did she? Heh, those Drow sure have weird customs..."

"Drow...?"

"We'll talk later, Thommas. I need some sleep now..." The old lizardman walked back into a large home, trying not to get snow in the home. Jacobie walked back along side him. As they both walked to the house, a beautiful Drow woman opened the door.

"Come on you two! Dinner's ready!"

"Not so loud, Rei! Draconis is still sleeping, right?"

"No, he's up. He's in his room, playing with those toys you made him." The two lizardmen entered the house. It was a greatly wealthy home, with a lush red carpet, oak walls and ceiling, all painted a dark brown. There was much open space, and a stairway on the left of the home. Two grand windows let the sun light the room, behind two white couches.

"I'm heading off to bed. Please watch Thommas... He'll make a fine soldier yet." The old lizardman walked up the staircase and down a hall, past which Jacobie never tred before. The Drow walked with Jacobie into another room. The walls in there were the same, but the flooring was tile, hand crafted, with a strange insignia on each tile. They looked silver, but were just colored that way.

"Come on, Thommas! Let's get you something to eat." In this room were two smaller windows above a counter and a strange looking counter. It had symbols drawn on it, which look similar to the insignias on the floor. The Drow opened a drawer from under the oak counter and pulled out two small, silver bowls. She then placed them both on the counter with the symbol. The bowls filled with water.

"Wait here, Thommas." The Drow left to room and entered another. Soon, she returned with a few ingredients that would fit a nice stew; beef, carrots, peas, cellery, and something else... It was a strange, blue plant. She placed all of the ingredients on the other counter top and pulled out a knife from the drawer under the counter, cutting the food into smaller slices, grinding the plant into dust.

Just then, there was a knock at the door. "Could you get that, hon?"

"I'll get it, mother." Jacobie walked out of the room and into the other, opening the front door of the grand home. In the doorway stood two odd-looking men, hooded in white robes. Their hoods stretched over their heads, and all that could be seen of their faces was shadow.

"Hello, little one. Is your father home, by any chance?" The voice of the first robed man was quite low. It sounded quite dark; quite evil.

"Father... He's asleep. What do you need him for?"

"We're here to give him... a present of sorts. He need only sign a few forms, and it's his."

"I'll tell him you were here when he gets up. What are your names?"

"Just tell him that Borom and Gogron stopped by... He'll know who we are."

"And just who are you?"

"I gues you could say we are... parents of a sort. Masters of an academy, full of students. I believe he wished to enroll you... are you Thommas?" The second man's voice was as fierce as the first, if not even more terrifying.

"Yes..." Jacobie was stricken with fear, his heart racing. Something about these people made his blood feel... cold... dead... even merely being in their presence.

"Then we will be seeing you shortly, I assure you. We will be taking our leave. Oh, and give your father this package whne he gets up. Good day, Thommas." The two men in white robes left the house. Jacobie felt a sence of relief as they walked out and shut the door. He then turned his attention to a package... He slit the tape holding the box together with a stroke of a claw, and opened the box. Inside lay a set of Crimson armor, along with a red katana, and a blue katana...

//Not according to the Tourette's bartender in Boondock Saints. Wink

Xenai whipped around, though continuing to walk backwards. "That kinda shit pisses me off, man!"
Zion gave him a weird look. "Hey, watch where your going."
"It's stupid and wrong and no, and-"

"D'oh!"

He'd fallen out the exit onto his behind. Zion snickered. "I told you to watch where you're going."

--- --- ---

"OW!" A stinging sensation on his back. "Asshole!" He whipped around. You could see the shapes where his eyes would be had taken on an angry shape. "That hurt, damnit! You're gonna get it now." He pointed a finger towards the man's forehead and shot a laser of his own forth.

Druid raised his hand above his head and the spiral cloud raised up slightly. Swiftly Druid moved his hand downwards. As he did this a fierce bolt of lightning came out of the center of the spiral and crashed into the center of the waves. Druid raised his hand up and the pillar of lighting seemed to connect the sky and the water. For when he did this the cloud formation rose and so did the water.

"Well, we're gonna be inside, so I don't think we'll see it." Firstman replied to Coriko.

"I'll be outside." Marshall said to Firstman, and then looked to Coriko. "There's some other stuff I want to do. Plus it would be best if one of us stays and looks out. I have a feeling something is weird about this island."

--- ---

"Uh, I was thinking we could fly. I have wings." Duilin said to the others as they boarded the ship. "Well, I guess you two guys can't fly. Besides, it takes a lot of energy to fly from Tjed to Terian, I remember Zeros' made me do that twice in a row, was that ever annoying."

I have a bad feeling about these guys, however. Duilin thought to himself about the men on the boat.

--- ---

The elite's head was hit by the laser, and he seemed to fall back, but he head was simply pushed to the side, he survived. The elite then summoned a fireball in his hands and then threw it at Anti...

"Oi, you lot! The Cap'n wishes us ta give ya a'nover foine welcome to da Black Haven. For some, it is a sanctuary amongst da seas, and for others, a watery grave. Your quarters'll be down bellow, first deck under. Enjoy your stay!" These pirates didn't seem to be as bothered as the other two. infact, they seemed to go on about their captain as being a sort of god of the seas. It was all rubbish, but then again, it does help to have a loyal crew, especially as loyal as captain Viskis' men were.

Tiberius boarded the ship along with Valiko. They didn't like the idea of going on this boat just as much as Duilin, but they really didn't have any more energy left, and needed sleep. "I'll check out our quarters." A pirate came up to Tiberius and led him down to a room full of nice beds. These pirates must have plundered quite a bit to have such nice quality items in their possesion. Tiberius hit the first bed he saw and fell fast asleep. Must have been very tired...

Scowling, Draven threw his left hand up grabbed the blunt end of the scythe, pulling the weapon towards him, and in a quick defensive-turned-offensive maneuver, sent a burning fist right towards his adversary's metal face...

----

A figure wrapped in black peeked out of the bushes, eying the pirate ship as the crew made their preparations to leave.  It deftly leapt off the small cliff and glided over the water without so much as disturbing it.  It circled around the base of the ship and hid in the long shadow cast by the setting sun, pressing its back against the damp wood...

----

Dearest Ken,

Thank you for replying; it means a lot to us.  I read your letter to the people before services and we all laughed.  Your reply is shorter than your title!

I am sorry to keep bothering you with our trifles.  It's just that we would like to bring some small bit of home to you.  You are our strongest beacon of light in this dark world.  The people all look up to you and your men, Ken.  I couldn’t possibly fathom what would happen if word came home that you were struck down.

Please be safe.  I won't send as many letters from now on.  I promise.

Love,
Lucile Urocy, High Priestess of Welkin

Ben stepped aboard the ship after everyone else boarded it. The ship's captain came out from his cabin and stood before his men on deck. "Raise anchor! We set sail for Terian!"

"AYE, CAP'N!!!" the crew shouted as they lowered the sails and raised the anchor to the ship. Wind caught the sails of the ship, and soon, it was set in motion.

"Something's not right here..." Ben observed the ship for a few more seconds, then just laid his thoughts to rest.

The scythe disappeared as Nex let go of it, in order to block Draven's punch, by crossing his arms in front of his face.

"You sure weren't kidding when you said you wanted to melt my face." Nex laughed.

Nex then brought his fist back and then swung it forward leaving streaks of lightning, aiming for the fire mage's stomach...

Duilin decided to stay on deck and watch their progress in travel. Despite what he's been through today, he's been able to keep his energy.

"Hey, you! Angel! The captain would like to see you in his cabin." Ben gave a confused look, but just went along with the pirate to the captain's cabin. The pirate lead him to the front of the ship, past a few crates and barrels marked with the jolly roger.

As Ben stepped into the captain's office, he saw something that he didn't expect to see for many years. It was Thand, an alchemist and a doctor from the northern reaches of Tjed.

"Thand!? By the gods, is that you?"

"Bjendell Mjord! Just what have you been doing all these years? More so, I'd like to ask what your doing on this ship."

"I see you two have already had a proper introduction... Yes, I thought as much. Master Thand is the Black Haven's resident alchemist and physician. I'll leave you two alone for a moment." Captain Viskis left the cabin.

"We uh... got caught here at a bad time. We're buying passage into Terian. We 'bought' passage into Terian..."

"Terian!? What on Gaian could you possibly want to go there for? They've unified the place since you've last been to the temple, you know."

"Yes, I suspected as much. I'll probably find it under enemy control... or in ruins. I can be rebuild, with ease, mind you."

"So, what business have you up in Terian?"

"We're headed for North Point, actually, also looking for passage into Welkin."

"God's blood!!! What's worse than going to the Dark Continent is going to that fortified fortress of evil! You must be suicidal, friend."

"Heh... Same old Thand. Always worrying about others more so than himself. Is your daughter here as well?"

"Yes, she's down below deck, checking up on wounded sailors."

"By 'sailors', you mean-"

"Yes, yes, you know what I mean. These aren't bad people, you know. There methods of making a living are... questionable at best. We only prey upon Dark Empire vessles."

"Only Empire vessles... I'd say you're more Crusaders than pirates!" Both Thand and Ben laughed at this comment.

"Ahh yes, well, we sure did spend some good time together, huh?"

"Sure did... I'm going to head under and check up on those wounded."

"Still practice that fancy healing stuff, huh?"

"Yeah. It was nice catching up, Thand!"

"Likewise, although Terian might take another day or two to get to by ship. Just be patient..." Ben walked out of the cabin and below deck, into a room filled with beds. Tiberius was in one of them, sound asleep, along with a few more pirates, some of them badly injured. Ben pulled his black robe hood over his head, just enough to cover his face in shadow. He walked over to one bed with a woman sitting next to a pirate, with a mortal wound.

"Mind if I have a look?" He said, keeping his voice deep and unfarmiliar.

"Go ahead... He might not last, though. It looks pretty bad..." The woman stepped out of the way and Ben placed his hand an inch over the pirate's wound. A blue light appeared over his hand and the wound started to seal itself, the veins inside reattaching and closing off. There was nothing left of the wound but dry blood on the pirate's side.

"What the...... How did you......?"

"How did I what? I'm a cleric by nature."

"But not even the mage-"

"Could use angelic healing techniques?" Ben unmasked his voice and lowered his hood.

"......Ben...?" Ben smiled as she guessed his name correctly. She leapt into his arms.

"BEN!!! IT IS YOU!!! WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN ALL THESE YEARS!?!?!?" Ben held the woman in his hands, then placed her back down.

"I'm glad to see you to Jannis!"

"How's Tjed?"

"Not so good. It's been put under occupation from the Dark Empire..."

"DARK EMPIRE!?!?!? THOSE BASTARDS!!!"

"That's one of the reasons why I'm on this ship. I'm headed for North Point."

"That sounds very dangerous!"

"I know, but if we want to save Tjed, that's our only hope..."

"......"

"Something wrong?"

"You could use a hand, you know..."

"I'd be glad to have you tag along, Jannis."

"I've told you before, just call me Jannie!"

"That's the way you say thank you?"

"I couldn't care less. I was going will you anyways!"

"That's the Jannie I knew! Nice to have you along!"

// Sorry for not posting for so long, things have been hectic.  Anyways, I should be posting more \

Xivilai was extremely disappointed.  Several rats had gathered around the unconscious form he had been observing, but they didn’t get more than a few nibbles in before the man regained consciousness.  The nibbling must have woken him up.

The man sat up, groggily, looked very confused, and gave a start when he saw he was being eaten by rats.  He quickly jumped up, and promptly fell down again.  He got up again, slower this time, brushed off the rats that had refused to let go, and started limping off in a direction that lead him away from Xivilai’s.  Xivilai toyed with the idea of actually killing him this time, and decided it wasn’t worth the time.

With a sigh, Xivilai turned and continued onward to Tjedon

Nex's punch hit square on, the force so intense it sent a circular shock wave out that disintegrated large rocks that flew off the ground below.  Draven doubled over in pain as the demon's fist bore into him, his armor cracking.  His shocked expression quickly turned to one of seething rage, as he grabbed the demons' arm just above the elbow, then attempted to launch Nex straight into the ground with an over-the-shoulder throw with enough force to blast open a crater the size of an airship...

----

A circular porthole in the side of the pirate ship slowly opened, and the small black shrouded figure quietly slipped through, shutting it behind him.  Hovering in the darkness for a second, he listened to the sounds of moaning in the sick bay, and the soft murmuring of voices on the other side of the room.  Staying in the shadows, he floated behind some crates, and then down a stairwell that lead into the storage hold of the ship.  It was completely black down here.  The figure wedged himself in between a series of metal boxes.

----

Lucile,

Apologies for the curtness of my previous reply.  There has simply been a lot on my mind lately and dwelling upon thoughts of home only brings a deep longing to my heart.

I will be honest.  There is great danger here.  There are many who wish us dead, more so now than a year ago now that rumors of our exploits have had time to spread.  I cannot blame them.

One of my men was struck down.  His outlook is bleak, yet he is a strong young Velken.  Do not worry, I am confident we will find a cure to his ailment soon.

Remember that though these magically sent messages are faster than standard letters, other eyes may fall upon them.

Nex was thrown to the ground at rocket speed, he smashed into the ground creating a huge crater (of an airship size). Nex way laying on his stomach in the centre of the crater, after a few moments he got back up, dusting himself off. The horns on his helmet were bent backwards, out of shape. He put his hands on the horns and bent them forward, they didn't look quite as new but his helmet seemed to repair itself until it was as good as new. Oddly enough he didn't seem to have too many serious injuries from that crash. Yet it was clear that it hurt, considering how much he was laughing.

Nex was laughing hysterically, for a straight fifteen seconds. Once he stopped he crossed his arms and looked up towards Draven.

"That was good, have a freebie." Nex said scornfully, waiting for him to make another move.

--- ---

//Might as well get the Hypnos vs. Gorus fight over with.\

Hypnos was able to get past Gorus, by performing a flipping jump over his head and dashing towards the building to where his kamas were. Gorus however was charging at the stalker like a bull once Hypnos picked up his weapons.

Hypnos then jumped in the air and pressed his feet on the wall of the building and pushed himself forward to avoid Gorus as he smashed a hole into the structure with his body. The stalker landed on the ground weapons ready. Gorus turned around. He had collected a few noticeable cuts and bruises from breaking a hole in the building.

Gorus picked up a rock from a pile of rubble left in the building, and threw it with great force at the stalker, who was able to easily dodge it. The stalker zoomed forward at Gorus and jumped in an attempt to dig his kamas into Gorus' skull, but he was head butted in the gut before he could make his attack and landed on the ground. Gorus stepped over the stalker and grabbed his right fist with his left hand and smashed it where he head butted him. The stalker's eyes rolled back as he heard his ribs crack, but he was able to jump back up and he started to weakly move away in an attempt to escape.

But then he felt the pain of being whipped, the punishment in the academy when you showed cowardice. Therefore, despite his wounds he turned back to face the lizard general, who seemed to be enjoying the sight of the wounded stalker. He slashed down his kamas but Gorus backhanded his wrist holding the kama, knocking the weapon out of his hand. Hypnos made another attempt with his other kama, but Gorus backhanded it out all the same. Hypnos' ribs were crushing into his lungs he was feeling more and more drained every passing seconds.

"Now, you die...human." Gorus said as if delivering the worst insult ever.

He then kicked his steel spiked boot into the stalker's chest. Gorus seemed to give a look of dissatisfaction as he noticed the human did not cry out in pain, as he expected. He gave his foot another shove, trying to pierce an organ in there, but the stalker didn't make a sound, he simply fell limp against Gorus' leg and quietly died.

"Bleh." Gorus kicked the dead human off his leg, and the bleeding corpse plopped on the ground. "Just another dead human."

It was a pity, he would have made a good enhanced minion, Gorus thought. But a dead human is just as good. But this might be one of his last kills today, as the entire county was quickly becoming a ghost town. Victory was imminent.

Ko'ji was inside the airship, sitting next to Helix. Once in a while, she would check his tempurature with her hand and see if he had any feverish qualities. Not a one. Soon, she realised that if Helix did not see a priest, he was doomed by this curse. The only way to save him from an undead state, if his soul left him, would be necromancy, to find his soul and return it... hopefully to his original body.

The small Velken backed up and took one last look at Helix, then turned heel and walked back up some stairs to the ship's deck. "Lord Virmir..." Her voice was cold once again, like the time she arrived.

"I'm sorry to bother you, but... if there's still any way to save Helix... I would take my own life so that he could still have his. If there is any way, please, tell me. Please... Kendo..." She walked up to the high general and knelt down on one knee, looking down.

Time for a celebration! CHEESE FOR EVERYONE!
Wait, scratch that, cheese for no one. A celebration can be just as fun if you don\'t like cheese, true?

Druid then plunged his hand downwards. The sky dropped so that it was almost touching the water. Druid lowered hand looked like it was grabbing something. He started to raise his hand but he was very strained. The lightning bolt started to crack and fade in its intensity. Druid put his left hand over his right shoulder and flexed his hand into a claw shape. Five additional lightning bolts came from the sky down into the water. They were smaller then the initial bolt, but they did their job stabilizing the first.

"Alright that is a good idea. I've got some food in that rook sack I grabbed." Coriko tapped the bag that hung at his side. "So i'll be off." Coriko headed to the hill. It was grassy and steep. "Well, here we go." Coriko started his climb up. At first it wasn't to difficult but he hit a steep patch of ground. Coriko grabbed on to the long grass to help climb. "Wilham, you there."
Coriko reached a peak and saw Wilham moving some rocks. "Hey, I came to help."
